APPLICATIONS
Welding of high manganese steels to carbon steels. Surfacing of metallic forging molds, hot sthears, roll and dies.
CHARACTERISTICS
VHF-CrMn is a low hydrogen type surfacing electrode. Deposited metal of Mn-Cr type austenitic structure is hardened by impact and shows excellent toughness and resistance to abrasion under high temperature and impact.
GUIDELINE IN USAGE
1.) Preheating and postheating should never be done.
2.) Use minimum currents to avoid overheating the electrode.
3.) Electrodes should be dried at 300 - 350ºC for 60 minutes before use.
