DESCRIPTION
V-NiCu-7 flux-coated electrodes are designed for shielded metal arc welding of nickel-copper Monel® 400 and 404 to themselves and to steel. This electrode is perfect for joining many nickel-copper alloys to copper, copper-nickel, carbon steel and low alloy steel. VOLTAWELD V-NiCu-7 is also used for overlaying on steel and for welding the clad side of joints in steel clad with a nickel-copper alloy.
APPLICATIONS
V-NiCu-7 is a very popular electrode. Most common uses include electroplating and chemical pickling equipment, polyvinylchloride production plants, sea water desalination plants and in waste water treatment plants.
INSTRUCTION FOR WELDING
(1) Its weldability is as same as austenitic stainless steels.
(2) Keep the interlayer temperature under 100ºC and cool it as fast as possible.
(3) Keep the welding current as low as possible.
(4) Dry the electrodes at 150 ~ 200ºC for 30 ~ 60 minutes before use.
