DESCRIPTION
N-Ni Mo-3 is a nickel-molybdenum flux-coated electrode designed specifically for welding Hastelloy® W to itself or to a variety of other alloys used in high temperature service applications. VOLTAWELD N-NiMo-3 is excellent for joining dissimilar combinations of cobalt, nickel and iron-base alloys.
APPLICATIONS
N-NiMo-3 is most commonly used for jet engine repair and maintenance, gas turbine parts and rotor hubs. This electrode will provide good mechanical properties up to 1800ºF, however it does exhibit poor oxidation resistance 1400ºF and it should not be used for service applications in excess of 750 hours.
NSTRUCTION FOR WELDING
(1) Its weldability is as same as austenitic stainless steels.
(2) Keep the interlayer temperature under 100ºC and cool it as fast as possible.
(3) Keep the welding current as low as possible.
(4) Dry the electrodes at 150 ~ 200ºC for 30 ~ 60 minutes before use.
